Track Meet

My plans for the Track Team includes the team competing and participating the State Track Meet. The meet is held on May 1. Its going to be a great experience for the new and growing team, and it is going to be a lot of fun. Tons of private schools around the state will be there to competing along side of us, and it will be a good oppurtunity for the team to take. The team and I will need to work very hard to ensure a spot in the State Meet.  For the team to participate, the team must follow and pass the Scisa's official qualifying standards for the track events held. Scisa Rule, Guidlines and Information

So this week I researched and discovered a lot of guidlines, rules and informantion that are given by Scisa to schools for the Track and Field season. They are listed below...

-First allowed practice date:  January 18
-First allowed Meet date:  March 1
-State Track Meet:  May 1
-Each student can participate in a maximum of 4 events in a meet.
-Varstiy Team: 6-12 grade
-Junior Varstity: 6-10 grade
-Qualify for State Meet: must particpate in atleast 3 track meets

These guidlines will not be much of a problem, and can be easily followed. There is also a State Rules Clinic on Sunday January 17 or on Wednesday 20.  I really want to go to one of these, because I feel like it will be extremely beneficial. It will talk about all the guidlines and information at the meeting. Me and Mr. Tucker plan to go.

I'm starting to get really excited about the season! It getting closer and closer!! :) I think we are gonna have a lot of people on the team, which is making me pumped!
